We shot Kiwe's Spring/Summer 2024 collection at our studio in Şişli, Istanbul, in autumn 2023. Both the photographs and the film of the campaign came from the same set and the same eye: Cumhur Kaplan directed the photography and the film together.
A set made of light
The idea was simple: instead of bringing in a set, bring the studio's own equipment into the frame. Silver and white umbrella flashes, light stands and cables were not hidden; they became part of the composition. The vividly patterned dresses stood out against this clean, bright ground.
The team
The collection's designers, Asena Kılıçarslan and Natallia Turya, were on set throughout the shoot; styling was by Elif Karcı. The face of the campaign was a model of Chinese descent: long braids, beaded headpieces and flowers gave every look its own character.
A short film
The campaign film tells the collection in a short vertical format: details, walks, make-up moments and poses in front of the flashes follow one another. Below is a selection from the campaign; the full series is on the project page.
